Sony has no Plans of Developing Gran Turismo 7 PC Now or Anytime Soon

The notorious NVIDIA GeForce Now leak revealed numerous upcoming unannounced PC titles, including a couple from Sony, namely, Returnal, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, God of War, and Gran Turismo 7. People were doubtful of the list’s authenticity, but Sony’s releases of some of the listed games confirmed everyone’s suspicions. Sadly, the same can’t be said for Gran Turismo 7.

Gran Turismo creator, Kazunori Yamauchi, clarified that Gran Turismo 7 will not be coming to PC anytime soon.

The series producer clarified that this rumor was the result of a misinterpretation of one of his earlier interviews. In the said interview, when asked about the PC version of Gran Turismo 7, Yamauchi stated that “the possibility is not 0,” but he is currently not doing anything on that matter.

This news comes as a disappointment for many Gran Turismo fans. However, the fact that Yamauchi did not completely dismiss the possibility of developing GT7 for PC gives everyone a glimmer of hope. Sony has been welcoming PC reworks of its titles, so who knows, there might even be a PC version of Gran Turismo 7 sometime in the future.

Gran Turismo 7

Almost everyone expected Sony and Polyphony Digital to launch Gran Turismo 7 for PC. However, the upcoming movie Gran Turismo is certainly an interesting choice for a racing franchise. The movie stars David Harbour and Orlando Bloom and is slated for release in 2023.

Meanwhile, there is still plenty of content in Gran Turismo 7. Its 25-anniversary DLC offers new gameplay modes and several new cars. Sony is expected to release more such updates soon.
