Halo Infinite Co-Op Beta Testing Leaks Unveil the DMR Weapon and the Forge Mode

Halo Infinite is the latest entry to the long and successful Halo franchise. The game launched with a campaign of around 20 hours and a free Multiplayer mode. However, the fan-desired co-op mode was missing from the game at the time of launch.

Developers stated that co-op would arrive later this year, but the beta-testing has just recently been made public, albeit later than expected

Well, many sneaky fans have snooped around the game files to find some exciting new content coming to the game soon, although there’s no definite timeline for its arrival.

The latest leaks revealed that the DMR weapon would be coming to Halo Infinite, along with the Forge game mode and a mysterious object called the quantum translocator.

The powerful DMR weapon

The DMR’s first appearance in Halo was in Halo: Reach, and the images leaked for Infinite look similar to that version of the rifle as well. Since its introduction, the fan-favorite M392 Bandit DMR has been a deadly weapon, especially in multiplayer. Its quick semi-automatic rate of fire and built-in scope make it easy to line up multiple headshots for players with a quick trigger finger and pinpoint accuracy.

Long-awaited Forge mode

Players have been looking forward to the release of the Forge mode for Halo Infinite as well. First appearing in Halo 3, the Forge allowed players to create their own maps or alter existing ones for custom multiplayer games. This time, the forge mode looks like it will have even deeper customization options, allowing for greater player creativity.

A few of the in-built Forge maps were spotted in the game files. Moreover, players can design maps themselves with a new Nav Mesh feature. Nav Mesh is used in artificial intelligence applications to aid agents in pathfinding through complicated spaces.

We already have gameplay footage of the Recharge map from the Forge as well, featuring the BloodBlade energy sword.

A fully functioning turret has also been spotted within the Forge mode.

Quantum Translocator

A new object called the Quantum Translocator was discovered, which we still don’t know much about. However, there are also leaked voice lines of Iratus that have also appeared that suggest that it will be an acquire, pick up, and use type of object on the battlefield.

These leaks look like fans will have lots of hours customizing in-game to their utmost fantasies in custom games which will surely retain Halo Infinite players for longer.

The Forge mode has returned with deeper tweaks and more options. The DMR also looks exciting, although some people might have been hoping for other weapons like the Spartan Laser, Brute Shot, or Covenant Carbine to be leaked.

The co-op flight is available to those who have signed up for the Halo Insider program. If you are still unsure how to access the Forge mode, you can check it out here

Halo Infinite beta testing will be open until August 1. The official update will also arrive sometime in August.
