Halo Infinity Community Director Hints at Campaign Co-Op Delay

Several major additions have been promised for Halo Infinite since the game was launched in 2021. 343 Industries received a largely negative response over the game’s monetization, live service support, and the absence of Forge and online co-op. On Thursday, 343 Industries has planned a roadmap reveal for Halo Infinite’s near future, but there might be some bad news.

343 Industries hinted at a possible delay for the release of Halo Infinite’s cooperative campaign mode.

Brian Jarrard, community director for Halo, tweeted that co-op campaign support might be arriving later than expected, in reply to a Halo fan joking about the Halo community’s reaction if co-op did get delayed. The post exactly did not confirm a delay, but rather slightly pointed in that direction.

343 Industries offered fans an early look, followed by a test run for the co-op mode in July. It is possible the potential delay could mean there are significant issues to be addressed in the game before we can move to a public showcase.

It is clear that Halo Infinite’s co-op release window may be “subject to change.” Jarrard pointed out that the Halo Infinite roadmap update will give us more information. The roadmap will have details regarding what players can expect in the next few months in terms of game development.

It is rumored that co-op could be released in November as part of the next season on Halo Infinite. However, this recent revelation could mean co-op would not arrive until 2023.

Halo Infinite is available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
