Halo Infinite Campaign Co-Op Beta to Arrive a Bit Later than Expected

Sorry, Halo fans. There’s some bad news for you. The highly-anticipated co-op beta for Halo Infinite that was widely expected to roll out today has been postponed at the last minute.

Taking to Twitter, 343 Industries announced that the developers ran into some critical problems and consequently, the beta of Halo Infinite’s campaign co-op had to be delayed. Unfortunately, the studio didn’t give a specific release to the beta but said that the devs hope to deliver it by this week’s end.

A few issues were discovered in our current flight ring, and the team is working to address.

Brian Jarrard

He further added,

Apologies to folks who expected the flight today – we’re eager to get this into your hands, but we also want to ensure it’s a positive and worthwhile flight experience. Still targeting this week, but it’s day by day as work continues. Ty for your patience and understanding.

Brian Jarrard

The lack of campaign co-op was a glaring omission that many felt Halo Infinite could do with when it launched last year. Ultimately, there was light at the end of the tunnel for enthusiasts as 343 confirmed a few weeks earlier that the FPS would receive a new flight in the week of July 11.

But now, with bugs coming into the picture, it looks like fans will have to wait for some more days to dive into the action.

As disappointing as this delay is, it cannot be technically treated as one. Jarrard never pointed to July 11 as the beta’s start date. Instead, it was the week of July 11 that was being targeted by 343 Industries.

While he didn’t and still hasn’t revealed a specific release date for the flight, all we can do is believe in what he has to say and hope that the mode is still on track for this week.
