Despite the highly successful release of Hitman 3, IO Interactive isn’t done with Agent 47 just yet. It is has been confirmed by the developers that Hitman 3 DLC will arrive!
In an interview with The Gamer, IO Interactive’s executive producer, Forest Swartout Large, was asked about Hitman 3’s DLC plans. She definitely had good news for those fans who want their beloved assassin to go out on some post-launch adventures.
She said,
“We are definitely going to be doing some DLC, but we haven’t defined what that is,”

Talking about what to expect from the DLC, Large said,
“I think for now we are not looking at new maps like the bank and the island,”

“We’re more looking at using existing locations and reimagining them, twisting them. And this time around, we can use the whole trilogy.

She explained.
“We can look back at Hitman 2016 maps, Hitman 2 maps – we have all the locations.”

In simpler words, Hitman 3’s post-launch content will not bring new locations to the game. The maps and locations in Hitman 2016 & Hitman 2 will be revamped and added to Hitman 3, all refreshed.
The DLC will make you revisit the best locations of the first and the second installment of the 3-game series, all in one single game.
2021 is set to be a big year for IO Interactive. The studio is also working on a new James Bond game. To work on two enormous projects simultaneously, IO is doubling its staff and creating multiple teams. And we can’t wait to see what all the amazing people at IO bring to the table!
