Here’s How to Get More Gear Slots in Hogwarts Legacy

The more gear items you acquire in a game, the more you can level up! Players who are engrossed in Hogwarts Legacy will notice the same, as they begin collecting items that get stored in their “Gear Slots.”

However, there are only 20 Gear Slots allotted at the beginning of the game — which everyone knows is nearly not enough to make the best out of Hogwarts Legacy. So, is it possible to get more Gear Slots? How?

You can get more Gear Slots in Hogwarts Legacy by completing Merlins’ Trials. Players will get additional Gear Slots after completing each of these milestones: 2 Merlin Trials, 6 Merlin Trials, 10 Merlin Trials, 14 Merlin Trials, and 18 Merlin Trials.

So, getting Gear Slots is quite simple as long you unlock the trials themselves and learn how to solve the puzzles. Let’s get into it!

How to unlock Merlin’s Trials?

First, you’ll meet Natty in the quest called The Girl from Uagadou. Immediately after finishing this, you’ll hear a cry of distress from Treadwell, which begins the next quest called Trials of Merlin. After you’ve helped Treadwell, she will take you to your first trial.

Once you complete the first trial, all the other trials will be automatically unlocked! If you want to find the trials on the map, just look out for the tiny leaf icons.

You may also stumble across them on the ground, as they’re marked by a circular stone with engravings on it. You can confirm these are tied to Merlin’s Trials by casting Revelio, at which point it will glow blue.
