How Long is the In-Game Day in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?

With the new DLC expansion Wrath of the Druids, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is once again the talk of the town, but one thing that had me intrigued was the day length of the Valhalla Universe.

Day-Night cycles are integral in games and even more so in an open-world game. Have a long in-game day, and players will get bored of watching the sun too much, while on the other hand, having shorter daytime cycles will make you lose immersion.

A full in-game day in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is around 70 to 73 Minutes in Real World Time. Sometimes this may feel longer or shorter depending on various factors.

If you have been on the move, traveling between various regions to complete the story arcs, then it could have been possible that you might have experienced a shorter in-game day.

1. Why Does the Day Feel Shorter in AC Valhalla?

When you are moving in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the daytime goes by faster to reflect the fact that your character is covering large distances between regions.

This is a nice touch to the game universe. The different regions in England are pretty far apart. It would be jarring if I left Jorvik and arrived in Wessex in the same afternoon!

2. How to Change Time in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?

Use the meditate option to change time in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla; it is present under the free action wheel. You can also use the sleep option in your settlement to fast forward time.
