How Many Endings Are In Cyberpunk 2077?

Cyberpunk 2077 offers five unique endings, and they are all dependent on your choices. Some of the endings in Cyberpunk 2077 are rarer than others, and there’s a huge chance you missed some great ones!

It all boils down to your choices is how the plot is being sold as in Cyberpunk 2077. With so many different endings, that is somewhat true too! When I was playing, I made some questionable decisions, and the ending that I got felt very satisfying, but when I checked the steam stats, I was shocked.

Not many have gotten this type of ending! So I’ve compiled this list of all the endings in Cyberpunk 2077, so you know what is it you’re missing out on.

This post will have game-ending spoilers, so consider yourself warned!

1. How Many Endings Are There in Cyberpunk 2077?

There are a total of six endings in Cyberpunk 2077. While they do not depend on your life paths, they are dependent on your in-game decisions.

The six endings in Cyberpunk 2077 include one basic ending with no requirements. Two additional endings where one of them has two sub-ends depending on your dialogue choice. One pessimistic finish and one totally secret ending.

I. Ending 1: Trusting Arasaka

No matter how you play out your life in Night City, this ending will always be there for you to take at the end. Choose the option to trust Arasaka, and you’ll get this finale.

I think this ending was made to be the default ending, and that’s what it precisely delivers, a basic experience. I didn’t particularly enjoy this end because allying with the corporation was never my goal and I think most other players would agree with this.

II. Ending 2: Ask Panam for Help & Go Back to Earth

Once you complete Panam’s side-quests, which start at Lightning Breaks and end with Queen of the Highway, you unlock this ending, which has two sub-ends within itself. The first one being if you decide to go back to Earth in your own body.

Now, in this ending, we know we won’t live long, and we’ll leave NC forever with the Aldecaldos in search of a cure, but I felt this was somewhat a happy ending. Look at it this way; if you had a good relationship with Judy, she would even join you, Johnny will be erased from your memory.

You will still have a short yet happy end with Panam & the gang, and other people leave you goodbye messages. Kind of wholesome!

III. Ending 3: Ask Panam for Help & Let Johnny Take Over

With the above ending, if you do decide to let Johny live inside V’s body, V will instead cross the Blackwall. Johnny, on the other hand, leaves NC after all.

I personally don’t like this ending much. While most of you think this is somewhat better than the others, but this ending felt like I didn’t do my character much justice.

IV. Ending 4: Going in with Johnny and Rogue

This ending will only be accessible if you have a rock-solid relationship with Johnny Silverhand. Here you take the help of Rogue to take down the Arasaka muscle. At the end of this sequence, you will again have the choice to let Johnny keep the body or not.

Johnny Silverhand

This ending was very close in terms of being a satisfying end in Cyberpunk 2077. You can either let Johnny use the body while V becomes a legend in NC, or you can go the other way around and go back to NC without Silverhand.

V. Ending 5: Ending it All

This is the most pessimistic ending of them all. When on the roof with Silverhand, there is and another option that you get. “Could also just put all this to rest,” which can be activated if you wait without choosing or go back on one of your choices.

After having a heartfelt conversation with Johnny, we hear a distant gunshot signifying the obvious. In my opinion, this ending is quite unique, and the protagonist puts an end to their story on their terms.

VI. Ending 6: The Secret Ending

Now the hidden ending can only be played if you wait long enough to make a decision after you’ve already talked to Misty. Johnny will then drop the brilliant plan of attacking Arasaka alone!

The Secret Ending

This can only end in two ways: Either you are able to take down all of the guards, or you die trying (Spoiler Alert: It is very hard to take down all the guards!). What I like about this ending is that if you die anywhere during the fight, that’s it! You get straight to the credits and nothing in between, nada.

It’s really hardcore that way and feels very unique. On the other hand, there are some rare achievements to unlock if you do go through alive, so there’s that.

2. About Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is an action-adventure RPG developed and published by CD Projekt Red.

The game is set in Night City, a seemingly utopian megalopolis where anything and everything is possible, on the surface, that is. We play as V, a mercenary that is after an implant that serves as the key to immortality. The humongous game world offers a lot of pathways, choices, allies, and enemies. The best part; every single choice and action of yours will forge the story around you!

Cyberpunk 2077 released on PC,  PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia on December 10th, with a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X release set for 2021!
