Endings in Elden Ring: How to get them and which is the best conclusion?

Elden Ring has gained the reputation of being one of the most grueling games to conquer. However, once players reach the finish line, they can face different endings to the game depending on the choices made during their journey.

Each ending is different and has its theme and storylines. Some are different from other conclusions, while others are slight alterations. But, Elden Ring doesn’t specify how many endings exist in their game.

Elden Ring has six different endings that players can get by completing specific objectives in the game. These conclusions have unexpected twists and a unique name for the storyline. For instance, the Age of Fracture is the most common ending in Elden Ring.

In this article, I’ll rank every end you can get in Elden Ring and explain the actions players need to complete to get them to get the best possible conclusion in-game.

Which is the best ending in Elden Ring?

Age of Stars Ending

The Age of Stars is widely considered the best ending by the Elden Ring fandom. The protagonist teams up with Ranni in this ending and brings her to power to replace Marika.

The fans widely accept this as the most emotionally complex conclusion in the game, as the protagonist will marry Ranni and become the new Elden Lord. This ending is quite rare to find because Ranni’s quest is the longest in the game, with nothing suggesting that you’d work with her till the end of the game.

To get this ending, players need to complete the Lunar Princess Ranni’s quest, kill the final boss, and summon her by interacting with a blue sign on the ground close to the Elden Ring. All these endings are difficult to obtain but will become easier teaming up with a friend.

All Possible Endings in Elden Ring

While the game’s main objective is to reach the Elden Ring, the endings are determined by what actions you take when you find it and which character’s vision you trust. You can repair the ring or choose to make significant changes to the Lands Between.

Here are all the possible endings you can get in Elden Ring, ranked from the worst to best:

I. Age of Fracture Ending

The Age of Fracture is the most basic ending to obtain, and Elden Ring gamers consider it the traditional or standard conclusion to the game. In this ending, you become the next Elden Lord ruling the world with the approval of the Greater Will.

The protagonist needs to kill the final boss and mend the Elden Ring to get this ending.

II. Blessing of Despair Ending

The Elden Ring fandom considers the Blessing of Despair to be the most depressing ending in the game and takes place by working with the Loathsome Dung Eater. In this ending, you help the NPC by infecting the world with a curse that plagues him, locking the souls of those affected into a gruesome living death.

Players need to complete the Dung Eater questline and Seedbed Curse, kill the final boss and use “Mending Rune of the Fell Curse” on the Elden Ring.

III. Age of Order Ending

The Age of Order is considered the more reinforced version of the Age of Fracture conclusion. In this ending, the Tarnished works with Goldmask and Brother Corhyn to make a reality with order and no chaos. But “Perfect Order” doesn’t afford any freedom and opposition in the Lands Between.

In other words, the reality would turn into something less dangerous, but those living in it will have no liberty. Elden Ring players will have to complete the Goldmask questline, kill the final boss and use the Mending Rune of Perfect Order on the ring.

IV. Age of Duskborn

In this dark ending, the protagonist works with Deathbed Companion Fia to intertwine life and death, achieved by experimenting with the corpse of demigod Godwyn. It seemingly brings up a new age consisting of undead demigods, and death becomes an integral part of the Lands Between.

You need to complete Fia’s quest, take down the final boss, and use the “Mending Rune of the Death-Prince” while interacting with the Elden Ring to get this ending.

V. Lord of the Frenzied Flame Ending

Players will team up with Three Fingers and tear the world down by destroying the god, trees, and runes in the Lands Between. It’s an evil ending with the world descending into chaos and flame and is quite tricky to trigger.

Firstly, players need to find the Cathedral of Chaos and find a large stone door. Open the gates by removing all armor and interacting with it naked. A cutscene will trigger where Three Fingers will grab the protagonist and leave them with body burns and glowing red eyes. Now, kill the boss and interact with the ring to get this ending.

Can You Play Elden Ring Solo?

Players can play and complete Elden Ring offline by going solo. However, the game becomes a lot more tedious to play as they can’t have any form of help in game.

However, by making powerful builds and choosing the right weapons, it’s possible to conquer Elden Ring on your own.
