How to defeat Alva and stop her from healing? Easy God of War Ragnarok Guide

In God of War Ragnarok, you’ll be fighting a variety of new enemy types. One of them are the light elves of Alfheim. Alva is the Guardian of the Temple of Light and taking her down has proved to be a very challenging task for players. But don’t worry, we’ll show you the ways to beat her.

Alva likes to heal. In order to stop that, you need to break her attacks, which have a blue ring indicator, using your Shield Bash attack. Do that to prevent her from healing. To do the Shield Bash, press L1 twice with the Stonewall Shield and do it as soon as she starts healing.

Alva’s Blue Ring Indicator Attacks

Let her attack first before you start attacking. We’ll also explain her moveset so that it becomes much easier to beat her. Here is Alva’s moveset:

Block or Parry These Attacks

1. Twin Sword Slam: She spins her blades, pounds the ground, and unleashes shockwaves.

2. Lunging Slashes: She performs two slashes that deal long-range damage.

3. Spinning Rush: She releases two spinning slashes toward you.

4. Twinblade Sword Slam: She slashes you three times and then unleashes a shockwave.

5. Twinblade Throw: She merges her blades and then throws them at you.
