[FIXED] “A Player that Your Platform Denies” Error – COD Warzone 2.0

One of the most-anticipated games of 2022, Call of Duty Warzone 2.0, is now out, and fans are already experiencing performance and connection issues. It’s never satisfying when you wait months for a game to release, and it comes with a bunch of errors and bugs.

One of the most annoying of such bugs is the “A Player that Your Platform Denies” error in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0.

The “A Player that Your Platform Denies” is a unique error quite distinct from the other Warzone 2.0 crashes that players are experiencing while attempting to connect to their online lobbies. Moreover, this error is related to the lobby-creating process since it typically comes when gamers are trying to queue up in squad or duo mode.

You can fix the “A Player that Your Platform Denies” error in Warzone 2.0 by disabling Crossplay in Settings’ Accounts & Network section. Furthermore, you can also ask another player in the squad to host the lobby or have all the squad members restart the game. As a last resort, you can choose to ignore the error prompt and continue playing.

Here’s more about how you can fix the “A Player that Your Platform Denies Error” error in Warzone 2.0.

Method #1 – Disable Crossplay

Accounts and Network tab in Settings

One of the most effective ways to fix this error is to disable Crossplay in Warzone 2.0. By disabling Crossplay, you can only join online lobbies consisting of gamers from the same platform as your own.

Simply put, if you’re gaming on PC, you’d only join players playing on their PCs. On the other hand, if you’re gaming on a PlayStation, you’d only join PlayStation players. This rule also applies to Xbox players.

Below are the steps you must follow to disable Crossplay in Warzone 2.0.

  1. Start Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 on your desired platform
  2. Navigate to the Main Menu of the game and head to the Settings
  3. Under the Settings tab, go to the Accounts and Network section
  4. Now, you’ll be able to see the Crossplay option
  5. Turn off Crossplay and save changes before exiting

Method #2 – Switch Lobby Host

Inviting Friends in Warzone 2.0

If you’re gaming with your own squad, you can try to switch the lobby host or party leader to fix the “A Player that Your Platform Denies” error in Warzone 2.0. Although this is a temporary fix, it’s a fix nonetheless.

At times, having the same party leader can land you into all sorts of errors, including delayed matchmaking. As a result, it’s sensible to disband your squad and play with a new team or appoint a fresh squad leader from the same team.

Needless to say, this solution is suited for players who like to game in squads. Nevertheless, if you’re the party leader, ask your teammates to leave the lobby, or you can just kick them out by navigating to the Social Hub tab. Subsequently, you can request one of your teammates to send you an invite to join their lobby, and then you can confirm whether the error persists.

Method #3 – Ignore the Prompt

The Error Prompt in Warzone 2.0

Ironically, players can ignore the prompt and go through the entire matchmaking process. Although this method doesn’t fix the error, it allows you to play Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 without interruptions.

Once the error pops up in Warzone 2.0, you can respond by clicking on ‘Yes’ or ‘No.’ If you click on ‘No,’ the pop-up will continue to reappear and eventually push you out of the matchmaking lobby. In addition, clicking on ‘Yes’ will also kick you out of the lobby.

However, if you completely ignore that prompt, you will see that the game proceeds with queuing up in the background. Continue to pay attention to the game behind the prompt and let it complete loading.

Lastly, once you reach the warm-up lobby in Al-Mazrah, press ‘No’ on the “A Player that Your Platform Denies” error prompt, and voila! Enjoy Warzone 2.0!
