How to get a loadout during a match? – Warzone 2

Warzone 2 has changed up the loadout system from the previous game. In the previous Warzone, you could just earn and pile up money and then buy loadouts at the Buy Station (Shop). But it’s a little bit different this time around as there are more than one ways to get loadouts during a match.

In Warzone 2, there are three methods to get loadouts during a match. The first method is to simply buy them from the Buy Station, the second method requires you to complete an AI-controlled Stronghold and the third way to get loadouts is the loadout drops.

Loadouts are very important if you want to gain an advantage over your opponents, and through loadouts you can also gain Perks which will give you an edge over other players. Here are all the methods of getting loadouts during a match:

Using Buy Stations

The first method you can use to get loadouts is to just buy them using Buy Stations. If you spend 5000 in cash, you can purchase the Primary weapon from one of the loadouts. It’s worth noting that you won’t get the full loadout, you’ll just get the Primary weapon and all its attachments.

Completing Strongholds

The next method is completing Strongholds. There will be 3 Strongholds in each game and they will be marked on the map after you land. The Stronghold will be protected by AI-opponents which you have to eliminate, which also makes this the hardest way of getting a loadout. But it’s also worth noting that it’s a high-risk-high-reward method since if you manage to complete it, everyone on your team will get a loadout.

What you have to do is go inside the Stronghold, head towards a crate where you’ll have to disarm a bomb. Upon disarming the bomb, you’ll have to clear out the area and if you successfully manage to do that, then the crate will become a loadout pickup which can be used by you and your teammates.

Loadout Drops

The third method you can use to get loadouts in the match is the Loadout Drops which appear mid-game. You can also buy a Loadout Drop Marker from the Buy Station and spawn a Loadout Drop. They are marked as yellow crates on the map. The only tricky bit is that everyone can get their hands on these Loadout Drops so be mindful of your surroundings when you’re approaching one.
