Brigandine Armor Set in AC: Valhalla – Location Guide

AC: Valhalla is undoubtedly the most expansive that Assassin’s Creed has ever been. Whether it’s the staggeringly large amount of content, customization options, or the innumerable ways of taking on a particular situation, it is a delightful game that players can spend their many hours in.

With so many difficult yet interesting missions to complete, players would most certainly want to get their hands on the best possible gear and equipment for taking on 9th Century Britain. If that’s the case with you, then the fancy Brigandine Armor set in AC: Valhalla should definitely be on your list. If you’re going to raid the entirety of Britain, why not do it in style?

The Brigandine Armor set is a bear-aligned, melee-focused gear set in AC: Valhalla. It is a mid-game armor set with the players being able to find the Brigandine Cloak and Helm in Sciropescire (Power Level: 130) and the Armor, Trousers, and Gauntlets in Cent (Power Level: 130).

Obtaining the armor set requires you to strut through various outposts, unlock secret areas, and solve puzzles too. One thing that must be coming to your mind right now is – is this armor set really worth the time and effort? Well, to that I say, all in due time, my child.

Before we go that far, let me first share the locations of the armor pieces in detail.

How to get the Brigandine Armor Set in AC: Valhalla?

The Brigandine Armor set, like many others in the game, is separated into different parts and is spread across different regions.

Let me give a quick summary of everything we’re going to need:

  • Brigandine cloak. Location: Quatford in Sciropescire
  • Brigandine Helm. Location: Wenlocan Outpost in Sciropescire
  • Brigandine Gauntlets. Location: Beamasfield in Cent
  • Brigandine Trousers. Location: Dover Fortress in Cent
  • Brigandine Armor. Location: Canterbury Cathedral in Cent

With that out of the way, though, let us discuss how exactly we’re going to get to these sweet, sweet armor pieces.

I. How to get the Brigandine Cloak?

As I’ve mentioned above, the Brigandine Cloak is located at Quatford in Sciropescire. To obtain the cloak, you need to find the chest located under the town’s Longhouse. You need to go to the rubble-sealed cave entrance near the river shore to get inside.

Once there, shoot an arrow to a nearby oil cart to blow up the rubble and create an entrance. Enter the cave to find the cloak in the chest.

II. How to get the Brigandine Helm?

You can get your hands on the Brigandine Helm in Wenlocan Outpost in Sciropescire. When you’re inside the cave at the back of the camp, pull a large nearby block to reveal a hole. Inside, you’ll find the chest containing the Helm.

III. How to get the Brigandine Gauntlets?

This one’s located in Beamasfield, Cent. You’ll find a building that one can enter only through the window on the Northern edge of the town. Inside, you’ll find the chest with the Gauntlets. But, you’ll be needing two keys to open it.

You can use Odin’s sight to find the keys. The first one is located just south of the chest, and the other is in an open-air building northwest of the chest.

IV. How to get the Brigandine Trousers?

The trousers are there in a chest at Dover Fortress in Cent. The staircase in the Dock area has some destructible rubble on the floor. Around the place, you’ll also find an oil jar.

The next steps are pretty simple – Break the rubble, go down, destroy the wooden wall, find the chest, and obtain the trousers within.

V. How to get the Brigandine Armor?

On the second floor of the Cathedral, try and look for a barricaded door. Head to the opposite side of the hall, shoot the barricade with an arrow and open the chest within. The Brigandine Armor is now yours.

With that, you have now obtained the entire Brigandine armor set. Congratulations!

But, now is the time to put the set to the test. Since you (probably) have the entire set now, you must be wondering how good this armor really is. Well, allow me to explain to you.

How good is the Brigandine Armor set in AC: Valhalla?

Here’s all you need to know about its usefulness:

  • It’s built for close combat, so a melee-focused build is where it’ll truly shine.
  • Its perks increase armor when surrounded by more than 2 enemies and cause additional melee damage.
  • Being a pretty straightforward armor, it can help you tank damage from multiple enemies as you mow them down.
  • A more aggressive set in place of the Brigandine armor is recommended for advanced players as they probably would not need the extra shield. The best alternative would be the Paladin armor set.
  • Lastly, as it is a mid-game armor set, you’re going to have to switch it out with something better sooner or later.
