Cinnamon is a spice resource players can use while cooking food in New World. Players can prepare and consume various cooking recipes at a Kitchen in any major city, and it will offer them some unique passive effects. Cinnamon can generally be used in any cooking recipe requiring tier-1 seasoning.
Cinnamon can only be obtained as special drop from a Herb plant located in Cutlass Keys, Edengrove, and First Light regions. Each drop will provide players with 0-2 units of Cinnamon. Players need a sickle to harvest the herbs.
Herbs are relatively tall plants with purple flowers. To harvest the Cinnamon, approach the herbs and press E to start gathering. Unfortunately, the herbs usually drop Hyssop when harvested, so players will have to spend hours gathering them if they are looking for Cinnamon. There is no direct method to obtain cinnamon except for buying it from a trading post.
Where to find Cinnamon yielding Herbs in New World?
Cutlass Keys, Edengrove, and First Light are the best regions to collect cinnamon from herbs in Aeternum.
- Edengrove- Edengrove has two major spots for harvesting herbs, and thus it is not recommended to spend your time looking for Cinnamon there. But if you still wish to try your luck, refer to the map below for the spawn location of herbs.
- Cutlass Keys- The herbs are mostly concentrated in the western region of Cutlass Keys. The chances of harvesting cinnamon here are comparatively lower than in the First Light. Refer to the map for the precise location.
- First Light- The herbs are scattered throughout the central and eastern region of First Light, and it also has the highest chance of yielding Cinnamon, making First Light the best location to gather cinnamon. Refer to the map for the specific locations of the herbs.

How to craft food in New World?
To craft food and consumables in New World:
Step 1: Gather the required ingredients for the food craft.
Step 2: Press M to bring out the map and locate the “Kitchen” in a settlement.
Step 3: Approach the Kitchen and Press E to start crafting.
Step 4: Select the type of food you wish to craft from the panel on the left of your screen.
Step 5: Use the Slider in the right side of your screen to select the quantity of crafted item.
Step 6: Click the “Craft” option in the bottom right of your screen to craft the food.
Remember, food can only be crafted in a Kitchen.
Pro Tip: Increase your Cooking skill and Kitchen level to craft higher tier foods.
