But the drop rate depends on your level and the container’s location, so you better prepare yourself for some disappointment before getting your hands on an Ancient Skull.
2. Drop from Ancient, Lost, and Corrupted Enemies
The Ancient Skull can drop by defeating certain enemies in New World.
If your focus is to farm these Skulls only, then you might want to try exploring every Ancient Ruin, Abandoned Town, and head over to every Corrupted Breaches. Kill all the Ancient, Lost, and Corrupted enemies that you find to receive the Skull as a drop.
However, keep in mind that since the Skull is an item of EPIC rarity, the drop can be somewhat rare and may demand a long grind.

5. Is finding an Ancient Skull worth your time and effort?
The Ancient Skull can help craft a Skull Candleholder, but that’s pretty much the only purpose of this resource. So, you can obtain it at your own leisure, or avoid it if you want.
Plus, if you ever find one and don’t really have any use for it, you can comfortably sell it for around 40-50 coins in the game, as of writing – not the best value for the resource, I’d say, but good enough nonetheless.
