Those who have pre-ordered the God of War Ragnarok Standard or the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive a Kratos and an Atreus armor, based on whichever edition they have pre-ordered.
Players who have pre-ordered the Standard Edition will receive the Risen Snow Armor for Kratos and the Risen Snow Tunic for Atreus.
On the other hand, players who have ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive the Darkdale Armor for Kratos and the Darkdale Attire for Atreus along with other goodies. They will receive the Risen Snow Armor Set as well.
How to claim the pre-order armors for God of War Ragnarok?
The pre-order armors won’t be available from the get-go in God of War Ragnarok. After redeeming the bonus via the code you received, you need to progress through the campaign until Chapter 2, where you’ll find the pre-ordered items in a large chest to the right of the Forge in Brok and Sindri’s home.
Once Brok gives you a tutorial on how to craft upgrades, items, armors and grips etc., simply loot the chest to the right of the Forge to obtain all of the pre-ordered armors and bonuses. It will be quite the wait before you have access to your pre-ordered items, since the first chapter of the game has to be completed before you can obtain them.
Players who have not pre-ordered the game won’t be able to obtain these armors, though. All the pre-order bonuses can be obtained by only those who had pre-ordered, regardless of if they pre-ordered a digital or physical edition.
Are the pre-order armors worth it?
For players who wanna pack a punch early on in the game without having to worry about taking too much damage, the armors are definitely worth it. They give you a boost to Strength, Luck and Defense and can be ugraded to Level 9. Enchantments and Relics can be equipped along with them as well.
However, players may upgrade to newer and better armors once they start progressing through the campaign. For early game, the pre-ordered armors give players a damage as well as a defense boost in order to progress through the story smoothly.
