All people think of are the deadly warriors and their gruesome fights when it comes to Vikings. But, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla implements more than just fatal Viking fights. Eivor, who is leading the Viking clan towards England, has to take care of some serious business in the Ravensthorpe settlement. This business includes upgrading the shops in the settlement and recruiting some Jomsvikings.
Jomsvikings are mercenaries that can help you during raids once you recruit them. AC Valhalla has even added the option of recruiting other player’s Jomsvikings and adding them to your crew. So, if you’re looking for some tips on recruiting Jomsvikings and customizing them, then look no further. Here’s everything you need to know!
First things first, before you can even recruit your Jomsviking, you need to build Barracks in your Ravensthorpe settlement, and then only you can draft these NPCs.
How to Build Barracks in the Ravensthorpe Settlement of AC Valhalla?
To build the Barracks, players need to go near the riverside of their settlement and look for an open area with a signboard prompting them to make the Barracks. Then all you need is 400 supplies and 30 raw materials to build it.
After you’ve done building your Barracks, a person named Eydis will appear in front of the building. He is the person you’re looking for if you want to recruit a Jomsviking.
Do remember, Eydis appears in your settlement only after you’ve done constructing the Barracks. So, make sure you do that first.
How to Recruit Jomsvikings in AC Valhalla?
To recruit Jomsvikings, players need to approach Eydis standing in front of the Barracks and ask for his help regarding recruitment. This will take players to a different selection screen to select the Jomsviking warrior they want to recruit. Players can even customize the appearances of their Jomsvikings.
Jomsvikings belonging to other players can also be recruited by paying 100 silver. These mercenaries can be found in various towns across England.
1. How Many Jomsvikings Can You Recruit?
You can have a maximum of 100 unique Jomsviking characters and can select only 6 of them to be in your crew. They can help you during raids to open big chests with loots or fight enemies.
You can also recruit your friend’s Jomsvikings or a Jomsviking from another player. You just have to pay them 100 silver, and they’ll be recruited to your crew.
If you don’t like the selection or want new Jomsvikings to appear, ding the bell in front of the Jomsviking Hall to summon a refresh.
How to Customize Jomsvikings?
Jomsvikings can only be customized when you select them at the start of recruitment. You can change the gender, appearance, gears, and weapons of your Jomsviking and even gift them your weapon to wield during raids.
However, you can only customize your Jomsviking once before sending them off for recruitment. Gender and appearance cannot be changed later, but you can still change their gears and weapons.
Just a tip– More impressive the gear and armor, more will your Jomsviking be recruited by other players. You will also get the 100 silver payment after each recruitment.
How to Manage Your Jomsviking Crew?
To manage and edit your own Jomsvikings crew, you need to approach Eydis and select the “I Want to Manage My Jomsviking Crew” option. Then you’ll be able to choose a total of six Jomsvikings that can help you during your raids.
You also get rid of any Jomsviking you wish to kick out from your crew and replace them with another one.
With these warriors by your side, I’m sure these raids are going to be super easy for you. Just don’t forget to provide your crew with better armor and weapons so that they help you eliminate your enemies faster!
