The world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla not only offers its players the adventurous explorations and adrenaline boosted parkour plays but also the chance to enhance the romantic life of Eivor with some of the NPCs of the game.
One such NPC which Eivor encounters in the game is Petra, the huntress. Petra will arrive at your settlement of Ravensthorpe along with her brother Wallace once you have built the Hunter’s Hut. To make the hunter’s hut, you need 600 building materials and 45 raw materials.
Romancing Petra requires the player to complete certain side quests and make a few correct choices. Follow this guide to make sure you don’t miss out on any crucial steps.
Complete The Side Quests Given By Petra To Impress Her
To romance Petra, complete the two side quests, “The Huntress” and “Have you seen this man?” available at the hunter’s hut. Later, select the dialogue options with a small heart icon next to them to date Petra.
I. The Huntress (Side quest)
You will meet Petra immediately after building the Hunter’s Hut, where she will ask for your help to eliminate the wolves around the outskirts of the settlement. Accept this quest by selecting the dialogue. “I’ll go with you now,” to start the side quest.
Follow Petra in the fields till you come across a pack of fierce wolves. Eliminate all the wolves to complete this side quest successfully. You will be rewarded 2 skill points for it.
II. Have you seen this man? (Side quest)
After your initial meeting with Petra and completing the first side quest, approach her again when you see a text bubble over her head. This time she will show concern for her missing brother, Wallace, and ask for your help to find him. This will begin the second side quest.
Note: This event is likely to happen only after your settlement has reached level 2.
Now, this quest is one hell of a ride. Investigate the last known whereabouts of Wallace with Petra. Soon, Eivor and Petra will start hallucinating, and she will run away chasing the White Elk.
Follow the White Elk, fight the enemies and wolves created by Eivor’s hallucination.
Find and follow Petra till you reach back to your settlement and find Wallace there, ending the side quest. You will again receive 2 skill points for completing this quest successfully.
Choose The Correct Dialogue Options To Date Petra
After completing the quests, select the dialogue option “shall we spend some time together?” with a small heart icon next to it, to take Petra on an archery competition “date.”
The result of this archery competition will not affect the chances to romance Petra.
After the “date,” talk to Petra again. She will now confess that she likes Eivor.
Select the option “I feel the same way.” Eivor will then proceed to kiss and sleep with Petra.
Congratulations! you are now in a serious romantic relationship with Petra in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
After this, whenever you encounter Petra, you will get the option to:
- Spend some time together with her (Date),
- Kiss her,
- Take her to bed, or
- Breakup with her
Consequences Of Breaking Up With Petra
If it is not against your moral code, you can also romance other NPCs while already in a “serious’ romantic relationship with Petra. You don’t have to break up with her in order to do so. Your romance or breakup with Petra will not affect the overall story and ending of the game. If you choose to break up with her, you can find a note written by Petra in the back of her room describing her disappointment.
Other Romanceable Characters In AC Valhalla
- Broder– You will get the chance to romance this male Danish warrior during the storyline quests in East Anglia.
- Randvi- She is the wife of Sigurd, Eivor’s foster brother. You will get several chances to romance her throughout the game, but choosing to do so before or after she has divorced Sigurd can affect the game’s ending.
- Estrid: She is Bristan’s wife, the ruler of Essexe. You can choose to romance her during the Essexe storyline, before the Twists and Turns quest.
- Tewdwr- Tewdwr is one of the candidates to become the ruler of Glowecestre. You will meet him during the storyline quests of the Glowecestrescire region and can choose to romance him by selecting dialogue options with a heart icon next to them.
- Vili- The option to romance Vili, son of jarl Hemmingson, will be available after the Under the Skin quest.
- Stigr the Amorous- Stigr can be found in the Hemthorpe village in the Snotinghamscire region. Choose the correct dialogues, and Eivor will kiss him.
