Based on the premise of Eivor’s journey to Francia, AC Valhalla’s new Siege of Paris DLC has brought in some new and exciting content for the players to enjoy. Tortured by the oppressive rule of King Charles, Francia’s Viking clan has requested Eivor’s help to stop the mad King once and for all. But before taking down the enemy, you need to know their power and hold on to the city. This is precisely what the “A Hidden Weakness” mission entails.
The Hidden Weakness quest is unlocked immediately after completing the “Honor and Enemies” mission. In the task, Eivor needs to rendezvous with a certain smuggler to get all the details regarding the city’s defenses. But finding the location can get a little challenging, so here are all the details you need to complete the mission quickly.
A Hidden Weakness Mission in AC Valhalla
A Hidden Weakness mission instructs Eivor to find the smuggler’s warehouse in the eastern part of the Flooded Slums of Paris. Then Eivor needs to find the smuggler woman and figure out the city’s weak points along the south bridge.
Now, let’s get into details so that you don’t get stuck in any part during your playthrough.
How to Complete A Hidden Weakness Mission?
To complete A Hidden Weakness quest in AC Valhalla, you need to follow these steps carefully:
1. Find the Smuggler’s Warehouse and Investigate
You need to make your way to the eastern part of Paris and find the smuggler’s warehouse in the Flooded Slums. Once you find the warehouse, you must destroy and shove some crates aside to reach a letter.
Upon reading the letter, you’ll learn that the smuggler woman Nolwenn can be found near Saint Julien Church, so you need to make your way there quickly.
2. Talk to Richardis in Saint-Julien Church and Follow Bernard
Upon reaching Saint- Julien Church, you will meet Queen Richardis and Prince Bernard, who will kindly show you how to find Nolwenn.
You can follow Bernard to the sewer entrance before moving on alone.
3. Kill All Bandits in the Sewer and Then Talk to Nolwenn
Moving deeper into the sewers, you’ll find Nolwenn being attacked by some bandits. Kill them and rescue the smuggler before having a chat.
Nolwenn will then want something in exchange for valuable information. You can offer her money, threaten her, or use level 2 charisma to inform her that Toka sent you to her.
I suggest you go for the “Toka sent me” option to not lose money or offend the smuggler while talking.
After you’ve gathered information, you can head straight to the south bridge and start gathering intel on the weak points.
Don’t forget to pick up the key for the door connecting the sewers to the south bridge.
4. Place Explosive in South Bridge
The very last step on this mission is to move three explosive crates to their correct spots. You’ll quickly figure out where to place the first two, but the third one can be tricky.
Just a tip- Use Odin’s Sight whenever you get lost or forget the mission’s objectives.
To place the last crate, you need to push two movable racks into the water before jumping on top of them to get to the other side. With the crates placed, the quest will finally come to an end.
After completing A Hidden Weakness, you’ll see part one of the Dark Before Dawn quest already unlocked. So, you can either move on to the next mission at hand or explore the beauties of Paris and take it slow!
