One such puzzle Leon and Ashley encounter during Chapter 9 is the Dining table puzzle. The table contains eight distinct seats, each with a complicated setup of dishes, utensils, and tableware to distinguish them from one another. The room also has two portraits of a King and a Queen on the northern wall, which are crucial to solving the puzzle.
The Dining Hall table puzzle can be solved by making Leon sit on the last chair on the left and Ashley on the 2nd chair on the right. The cutlery and food before them should match the ones depicted in the portrait of the king and queen.
The king’s portrait shows a plate, a set of three knives, two forks, one spoon, a wine glass, a bottle of wine, and a piece of bread before him. The setting before the last chair on the left matches this illustration, so Leon should sit on this chair.
Similarly, the queen’s portrait shows a large plate, a couple of knives, a spoon, a fork, a wine glass, and a small plate. The setting before the 2nd chair on the right matches this illustration, so Ashley should sit on this chair.
Once they are both in their seats, the cage with two serpent statues will open. You can take one serpent head from this statue. Go back and attach it to the headless chimera statue located at the back of the area.
How to find the Dining Hall puzzle in Resident Evil 4 remake?
The dining hall puzzle is located inside the room on the left of the headless chimera statue at the end of the Grand Hall in the Castle.
At the start of Chapter 9, enter the Grand Hall. Walk across the hall and up the stairs to find a headless chimera statue. Enter the door left to this statue, and you will find yourself in the dining hall.
Here, use the solution explained above to get the serpent head and bring it back to the headless statue in order to progress.
