Unlock All Your Favourite Heroes in Overwatch 2 with This Quick Guide

Overwatch 2 has a wide range of vivid and unique playable heroes/characters, just like its predecessor. With so many exciting choices, players are bound to develop a liking for certain heroes. Unfortunately, most of these heroes are locked initially and must be unlocked before they can be selected for a game.

Initially, players get access to only 13 heroes when logging in for the first time, but they can unlock all of them throughout their gameplay.

Players can unlock all the heroes in Overwatch 2 by grinding unranked Quick Play games. Specifically, they need to play 150 matches to have every single character from the original game unlocked

Note that it is not a one-time bulk unlocking thing, and players will unlock a new hero after every few games.

All the heroes in Overwatch 2 belong to one of the three different RPG-like categories: Tank, DPS, and Support. Players can select a hero belonging to a playstyle that suits them the most for the best result.

The first 13 heroes that are already available in Overwatch 2 are as follows:

  • Tank: Reinhardt, Winston, Orisa, Zarya
  • Damage: Soldier: 76, Reaper, Pharah, Torbjorn, Tracer, Widowmaker
  • Support: Mercy, Lucio, Moira

About Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 is an upcoming first-person shooter developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. The sequel to the 2016 hero shooter Overwatch, the game is intended to have a shared environment for player-versus-player (PvP) modes with the first game while introducing persistent cooperative modes. A major change in PvP was to reduce team sizes from six to five, which required several characters to be reworked.
