The Best Bullhead Fishing Spots and How to Use Them: AC Valhalla Guide

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla continues to entertain its players by adding a wide array of quests, activities, and exciting events. These include the Crossover Stories, which reveal ties to the fan-favorite Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and a series of brand-new missions.

Additionally, Ubisoft has added a bunch of sporadic World Events, with XP-yielding altars. For example, in the Elisdon Altar World Event, players need 10 Bullhead fish as an offering to the altar. In this guide, learn about the best Bullhead locations to go fishing, along with tips and tricks to catch these fish efficiently.

Where can you find Bullhead for offering in Valhalla?

You can find Bullhead fish in rivers flowing around England in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. However, there are hotspots like the Nene River near the Ravensthorpe dock, where you can find Bullheads of all sizes.

Here are some of the best hotspots to go fishing in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla:

I. Ledecestrescire

Ledecestrescire, near the town of Ledecestre, is one of the best spots to go fishing. To specify, head to the river on the left side of the village in this area to find large numbers of Bullheads.

II. Grantebridgescire

Players can find plenty of small Bullheads in Grantebridgescire at the river junction near the Elisdon Altar. Expect to find at least ten fish swimming nearby on arrival.

III. Deod River

The Deod River near East Anglia is perfect for those who don’t prefer waiting for the fish to catch the bait. To explain, the area is comparatively shallow, meaning you don’t need a fishing rod or other materials. Instead, players can walk through the river and attack the fish, using weapons like a spear or an axe.

Other locations include the rivers of Essexe, Lincolnscire, Eurvicscire, and Snotingehamscire.

Are you ready to catch some fish? Now, let me give you tips and tricks to fish for Bullhead effectively.

Note: If players are far away from any of these places or can’t find the exact locations of the fish, fast travel to another spot using the map. Also, when you arrive, use Odin Sight and look at the river to see how many Bullheads are nearby.

Altar Locations That Require Bullhead Fish

Altars are historical monuments used for offering food or sacrifices to Norse Gods. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Evior can offer items in exchange for exclusive prizes. For instance, the most popular use of Bullhead is to use them as offerings on altars to gain rewards like XP, Skill Points, and additional quests.

These are some altars you can offer Bullhead fish in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla:

I. Elisdon Altar

The Elisdon Altar appears as a large pillar made of stone with a hole in the center, towering at the top of the hill. You can find this altar at the south of Ravensthorpe, beyond the banks of the Nene River.

Players will trigger the World Event and initiate a fishing expedition after interacting with the altar. In this quest, Eivor will need to seek out ten small Bullhead fish and place them as an offering on the altar.

After completing this mission, Eivor will receive a large amount of XP, one skill point, and one Grantebridgescire Mystery.

II. Glowecestrescire Altar

Glowecestrescire contains 11 different Mysteries in Assassins Creed Valhalla, which involves searching for ancient locations and monuments. One of them includes finding an altar on a hill near the region. After discovering it, players need to offer ten small Bullhead fish to complete the mystery.

Completing the offering and other mysteries is needed to conquer all territories and achieve the “All the Way!” completionist trophy or achievement.

Tips and Tricks to Catch Fish Efficiently

Fishing in AC Valhalla

Hunting for these fish can get time-consuming, especially for beginners. Therefore, I’ve come up with a list of tips and tricks you can use while catching Bullheads in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla:

● The most efficient method of fishing is to fire a bunch of arrows while on a boat and collect them later.

● While fishing or firing arrows, be accurate, as missing them will scare off the fish. Irrespective, the fish will return after a while if you wait in silence.

● It’s better to use Light arrows rather than Explosive arrows as they have a high rate of fire.

● Redhead fishes come in small, medium, and large variations. Make sure to gather at least 10 Bullheads and keep them in the inventory to complete missions.

● If you don’t want to waste arrows, you can go to the Fishing Hut and use a rod, although this method will take more time.

Keep in mind, it’s always better to keep using Odin’s sight to highlight them and quickly fire some arrows for easy and quick catches.
