During the arch of Wincestre in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, we are tasked with identifying and taking out The Seax, a member of the Order. Find out who’s The Seax and how to take him out silently.
Earlier Assassin’s Creed games focused more on stealth-based tactics where you sneaked in behind enemy lines to assassinate your target. As the AC series moved towards RPG elements, the combat changed too! This doesn’t mean that stealth elements are not there now; one such quest is the one where you seek out The Seax.
1. Who’s The Seax and Where to Find Him in AC Valhalla?
The quest starts you off in Wincestre just after you finish the ‘Plucking The Quill’ quest.
First of all, find Goodwin near a drinking table. He’ll explain that the Seax passed away, but Eivor should make sure by crashing his funeral.
At the funeral, the Bishop’s Sister reveals that someone named Ealhferth is the Seax and is very well alive. The Seax/ Ealhferth will be found at the Wincestre Great Hall.
Interact with the Bishop’s sister near the pyre, but this will soon go south as a couple of guards come to attack you. It’s just a small inconvenience though. Defeat them and resume your profound conversation with the sister. Gather your intel about the Seax; it’s time to put him to rest once and for all!
2. How to Kill Ealhferth in AC Valhalla?
To find Ealhferth, you need to reach the Wincestre Great Hall, but obviously, it will be locked. Make your way through some rafters on your right and then through an open window.
Assassinate Ealhferth from above the beams in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. You can also use other ways to kill him, but then you need to fight all the guards present there too.
Finishing off, Ealhferth will end with a cutscene, after which you need to reach the Order’s Temple to look for more clues.
3. Investigating The Temple of Mithras in AC Valhalla
The Temple of Mithras will be marked as an objective, and when you reach there, five guards will be waiting for you. Take them out and find the entrance using Odin’s Sight.
There are two main points of interest to look for in the Temple:
- Examine the parchment atop the small chest on your left just before a doorway.
- Moving forward, keep to your left, and you’ll find some cargo that can be moved, which will reveal a breakable wall. The room you just discovered will have your last clue to investigate.
Both the clues are nothing much to report, and it’s time to get out of there quick. Running out of the front door and killing the guards is always an option, but you can climb up to the second floor and escape unnoticed through a stained window too!
