OpenCL & Vulkan API Scores for Intel Arc A770 & A750 GPUs Revealed

Intel’s Arc A7 GPUs: A770 and A750, are slated to launch on October 12th. With just over a week left for the official release, several benchmark reports are popping up on the internet. The new graphics cards will also feature the latest XeSS DP4a technology by Intel. 

The first benchmark results of Intel Arc A770 and A750 Limited Edition GPUs have appeared on the Geekbench website.

The graphics cards were tested with two graphics APIs– OpenCL and Vulkan. Only the latter indicated the actual performance potential of the GPUs, which might make more sense once we get full detailed reviews. 

The A770 scored 73536 points in the Vulkan test, while the A750 achieved 66609 points. So, the A770 is 10.4% better than the latter.

In the OpenCL test, the difference between A770 and A750 is pretty similar at 12%. The A770 scored 99482, and the A750 got a score of 88828.

The A770 Limited Edition GPU used features 16GB of VRAM and 512 Xe Vector Engines, i.e., 4096 FP32 Cores, while the A750 tested consists of 8 GB of VRAM and 448 Vector Engines or 3584 FP32 cores. Both cards were tried out with the ASUS ROG Z690 Apex & Core i9-12900KS system.

The A750 is a low-end graphics card with a MSRP of $289. The A770 will be available in two memory variants: 16GB and 8Gb, priced at $349 and $329, respectively.

The A770 outperformed the RTX 3060 in both tests, while the A750 failed to match the RX 6700 XT in the Vulkan API test. However, the cards are expected to deliver better performance in modern APIs such as DirectX12. 

Upcoming reviews with 3DMark benchmark reports and gaming tests will give us more insight into how well the Intel Arc cards are actually performing.
