Intel’s NUC 12 ‘Serpent Canyon’ Specs Revealed– CPU, Memory & More! 

The design and basic layout for the NUC 12 Enthusiast, Intel’s next-gen gaming compact PC, have already reached fans worldwide. The device will feature the latest Alder Lake and Arc Alchemist-based architectures.  

New rumors revealed the specs for Intel’s upcoming NUC 12 Enthusiast, codenamed ‘Serpent Canyon.’

The Serpent Canyon NUC will offer two CPU options: 

  • Core i7-12700H (14-core) 
  • Core i5-12500H (12-cores) 

Both will be based on the Alder Lake-P silicon chiplet with a power limit of up to 45W. Intel plans on three GPU memory variants: 16GB VRAM, 12 GB, or 8 GB.

The image does not specify the GPUs used by the device. However, Intel will use Arc range processors featuring the high-end ACM-G10 GPU.  

The memory configurations for the discrete GPUs are: 

  1. Arc A770M (16GB) 
  2. Arc A730M (12GB) 
  3. Arc A550M (8GB) 

The Serpent Canyon will be the first NUC to feature DisplayPort2.0, which debuted with GUNNIR’s custom Arc A380 GPU. Similarly, the NUC will have limited connectivity with HDMI 2.0b.

Intel NUC 12 Enthusiast Specification

The device will support DDR4 memory with 64 GB capacity. It will also be compatible with up to two SODIMM modules, rated up to 3200 MT/s. The high-end AX1690 WiFi-6E network card, based on AX411 NICs, will be utilized in the NUC 12 Enthusiast.  

Although Intel has not officially released a launch date for the Serpent Canyon PCs, we expect them to be available around the same time as the Arc 7/5 series.
