Intel’s Arc A750 Desktop GPU Outperforms NVIDIA’s RTX 3060 in Five Games

Intel’s Arc Alchemist is going to be a new player in this year’s GPU game. The GPU series was announced a few months ago, and since then, it has neither received an official release date nor impressive performance benchmarks. The Graphics Cards are mainly held back due to the lack of mature development in the software part.

However, it seems that Intel has made substantial progress as their latest Intel Arc Performance Review shows that the Arc A750 is faster than NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3060.

Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition Graphics Card Performance Showcase

Intel’s Ryan Shrout tests the card on Cyberpunk 2077 and provides performance figures for F1 2021, Control, Borderlands, and Fortnite as well. The games were run at 2560×1440 resolution and high preset. Intel saw its best margin over RTX 3060 in F1 2021 as it was 17% faster with slightly lower results in other games.

The System configuration for the tests consisted of an Intel Core i9-12900K processor and an ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero. Both the games were running on Windows 11, but the A750 was tested on an engineering driver while the RTX 3060 used a 516.40 driver.

Performance results shown here are from a small subset of the games that work very well with Intel’s Arc Graphics and the Alchemist architecture. All games might not show these results, but it’s a view of what Intel Arc A-series cards are capable of with the right software and engineering enablement.

Nevertheless, the results prove that Intel Arc GPUs have more in them than previous benchmark results, which could largely be credited to improvement in software optimization.

Earlier, we saw A770M giving similar figures compared to RTX 3060M, so the fact that now Intel’s lower model in the desktop range is showing these results is splendid.

We got our First Official Look at the A750 yesterday, which featured an 8-pin and 6-pin configuration that could theoretically deliver up to 225W plus an additional 75W through the PCI-Express slot. The ACM-G10-based GPU is rumored to feature 24 Xe-Cores and 12GB of GDDR6 memory

We don’t officially know when the A750 will launch, but it is expected to arrive in Q4 2022. The expected price is going to be around $300-$350
