Svala, mother to our settlement’s seer, Valka might be more than what she appears to be in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s prologue.
AC Valhalla has a strong connection to the gods of yesteryear. Throughout the game, we are met with Sigurd’s ramblings about being reborn as a god himself. Could it be possible that other reincarnations of Isu’s be present in our camp?
1. Who is Svala in AC Valhalla?
Svala is the mother of the seer Valka. A seer herself, we see Svala during the prologue in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in Norway but that was not all.
That was not the only time we see Svala; during the ending, when we follow Sigurd to Norway, we see Svala’s body attached to the Yggdrasil. Could there be more to her than we know?
2. Is Svala a Reincarnation of Freyja?
Svala is the Isu reincarnation of Freyja. Along with Odin and the others, Freyja used Yggdrasil to escape their fate and live on long after Ragnarok. We find out that Freyja was reincarnated as Svala.
If you have a keen eye, you can indeed find young Svala when you start a new game near the longhouse in Norway after the fighting starts. She is the same model as Freyja and even has the same voice; talk about dropping hints.
Then what happened to Svala? How did her present-day body ended up at Yggdrasil when we were venturing into it with Sigurd?
3. What Happened to Svala in AC Valhalla?
Svala knew that her end was near, so she used Freyja’s memories to locate Yggdrasil. Svala used the machine to create Valhalla’s simulation to escape her death but was she able to?
4. Will Svala be Reincarnated?
We know the Asgardians used the Yggdrasil to reincarnate themselves later in history but could theoretically Svala do the same? The storyline did not dwell into this too much, and I think rightfully so.
Svala seemed to enjoy her time in the simulation of Valhalla and did not look like she would be leaving soon, but the possibility of reincarnating her, in turn, seems like a good one.
