It Takes Two is Number One on Steam’s Top Seller List!

Cooperative action adventure game It Takes Two from Josef Fares and Hazelight Studios has become one of the top reviewed games of 2021.

And its sales seem to also be rising in tandem, carried in-part due to word of mouth. This week’s Steam Top-Seller chart shows that It Takes Two is at the top of the board, an achievement it has been missing only very narrowly over the past few weeks.

It Takes Two topped the charts for the chart ending on April 18th, which means it bought in the most amount of revenue as compared to any other product.

Officially launched on March 26th, this would be the fourth week that It Takes Two has secured a place on the charts. In its first week, the title was on seventh place on the chart, and the two weeks which followed saw it at second place only below Outriders.

Outriders has seen a significant fall in this week’s charts alongside many other games. Halo: The Master Chief Collection too fell due to the end of a Microsoft publisher sale, and so did Horizon Zero Dawn. Both Euro Truck Simulator Iberia DLC and The Binding of Isaac: Repentance saw a drop as the launch sales ended, which made up for nearly half of last week’s chart.

The replacement for the missing half of the chart features only one new product, Stellaris’ Nemesis DLC, which came in second place on this week’s chart.

Other returning games are Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, The Forest, and Satisfactory, coming in at seventh, eighth and tenth respectively. Iceborne and Forest are at a discounted price right now while Satisfactory has just received a big update.

While It Takes Two’s claim to the top spot is no small feat, it should be noted that it definitely had help, thanks to the circumstances. There were no major game releases this week, Outriders and Valheim sales continue to drop every week, and several big sales also ended.

However, it will probably be a challenge for It Takes Two to hold onto the top spot. Nier Replicant is set to launch on April 23rd and MotoGP 21 too is releasing soon. Steam also has some sales planned for the coming future. It Takes Two’s consistency has been impressive so far and it wouldn’t be surprising to see it high on next week’s list as well.
