Job Listing from 343 Industries Points to an All-new Halo Adventure

With Halo Infinite being next-in-line to expand the Haloverse, it seems that even more is on the way. Halo developer 343 Industries just put up a job listing for ‘Producer’ to help develop a ‘new project in the Halo universe’.

The listing then goes on to list the job role and the various qualifications needed, but reveals nothing about the nature of the project. Due to the lack of mentions of Halo Infinite or the newly enhanced Master Chief Collection in the description, one could assume that this will be a completely new game. However, nothing of the sort is confirmed yet.

Speculation is rampant that this new installment could be the follow-up to 2017’s Halo Wars 2 – real-time strategy game set in the world of Halo. And since the listing underscores the fact that it’s a ‘new project’, Halo Wars 3 would be a good bet. This could be a perfect way for Microsoft to leverage its flagship gaming franchise for different genres and set ups, helping them in expanding the lore of the game.

All we can do now is wait for Microsoft and 343 to release more information on the game. And hope that it’s nothing like the debacle that was the first Halo Infinite reveal.

Fans can also make the wait worthwhile by taking Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a compilation of all the games in the Master Chief saga, for a spin on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One or PC.
