File Size and Pre-Load Date Add for Marvel’s ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Leaked

We got a first look at Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy back in June, and now, we have details on what the game will cost us in GB and when we can pre-load it.

As per PlayStation Game Size on Twitter and GamesRadar, the Square Enix title will occupy a moderate 41.243 GB on PS5 without the day one patch. The size of the patch is not known, but it should not be something to worry about as the game is not too large itself.

Compared to recent Square Enix titles, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is not very hefty. Final Fantasy VII Remake came in at over 100GB on PS4, while Intergrade’s file size was cut down to 81GB on PS5. Marvel’s Avengers was also a pretty heavy file as it took up 74GB and 104GB on the PS5 and Xbox Series X, respectively.

Seeing this file size, it seems the game won’t be too graphically intensive or too long in hours. But with games like Call of Duty: BlackOps Cold War and Red Dead Redemption 2 already taking up too much of our SSDs, a game that’s not too heavy makes for a nice change.

PlayStation Game Size also revealed the pre-load date for the game. Players who bought a digital pre-order of the game will be able to start downloading on October 24, two days before the game’s official release. So, even if you have a weak internet connection, you should be able to launch the game with the rest of the world.
