Free up a Lot of Space to Play Mass Effect Legendary Edition!

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition’s preload on Xbox is now underway, and it has given us an insight into the storage requirements of the action RPG.

Just as one would’ve expected from a title that stacks three original games and a great deal of DLC together, Mass Effect: LE will demand ample space on your consoles.

As per the Twitter account of PlayStation Game Size, this is the breakdown of Mass Effect Legendary Edition’s storage requirements:

  • Base Game : 67.987 GB (US), 87.366 GB (EU)
  • Update 1.01 : 11.7 GB (US), 13.3 GB (EU)
  • Download Size :  80 GB (US), 101 GB (EU)

Meanwhile, the game will take up about 85 GB of free space on Xbox consoles. Considering that PC players will have to sacrifice 120 GB of free space, console players have had it easy!

Then again, storage aside, the system requirement of Mass Effect LE is not going to be challenging for most PCs to run.

You must be wondering why is Mass Effect: Legendary Edition demanding more space from European players?

Well, European players of the game are looking at hefty storage requirements because of localization and the inclusion of more languages in the game.

The numbers look demanding for sure, but it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. The three adored Mass Effect originals games alongside a ton of DLCs are getting remastered; the one thing they are definitely going to ask for is free space!

The devs also seem to be going all out for the game with the 12 GB day one patch to tweak performance and overall stability already planned.

What’s 80 GB – 100 GB when the possibility of a nostalgic return to a fantastic franchise appears, that too, with stunning resolution and framerates?!

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is all set to release on May 14. Currently, the game is available for preload on Xbox consoles. PlayStation users will have to wait till May 12 for preload.
