Microsoft & Nintendo Sign a Deal to ” Bring XboX Games to Nintendo’s Gamers”

Call of Duty is one of the most successful first-person shooter franchises in gaming history. The series was first launched in 2003 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. After several successive titles, the games are now available on the latest consoles and are considered a classic.

Microsoft Vice Chair and President, Brad Smith, announced that Microsoft and Nintendo have collaborated to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo consoles the same day as Xbox.

The deal will last for at least 10 years. Although the statement only mentions Call of Duty, the company will also add more such titles in the future. Soon enough, Nintendo players can experience Call of Duty similar to Xbox and PlayStation users.

Microsoft has had its share of controversies in the recent past of course. Irrespective of Sony’s opposition to Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the latter ensured that PlayStation users wouldn’t have to worry about enjoying Call of Duty.

Microsoft reassured that it didn’t plan to remove multi-platform titles from other consoles. So, there’s no probable reason for any panic as of now.

Now that Microsoft’s deal with Nintendo is officially public, the company has a legal obligation to adhere to its words to avoid any complications. The 10-year time period is a long time, so it looks like Microsoft is committed for the long-run.

Sony is in a bind with Microsoft, and there doesn’t seem to be an end to it in the near future. This means that Microsoft could end up dominating the market with its acquired assets.
