Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Early Access Technical Issues

The early access of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s solo campaign is currently live for pre-order owners and things didn’t go exactly as planned. Players reported facing a number of issues, and this makes us question whether the game is truly ready for launch or not.

Players faced many technical issues during the early access of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ solo campaign across all platforms, including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

The solo campaign features several beloved characters, namely Captain John Price, Sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley, Sergeant John “Soap” MacTavish, CIA Station Chief Kate Laswell, and Urzikstani rebel leader Farah Karim. The plot continues the story of the first Modern Warfare game.

PlayStation users were unable to download the early access. Although, some suggested reinstalling the game and trying again, and some other measures.

If you pre-ordered mw2 and your having trouble downloading early access to the modern warfare 2 campaign on playstation. All you need to do is go to your purchased games on your library and download from there.

Xbox players faced an error saying they’re trying to access the campaign too early.

Love when it will not let me play the #MW2 Campaign on Xbox. Just says I’m too early. Please sort it out, cheers @InfinityWard @ATVIAssist

PC users reported connectivity issues while accessing Steam, and the website was down repeatedly.

The game is also experiencing server issues due to the high traffic with either the platform or Activision itself.

Activision, Xbox and Steam are actively working to fix the problems. Such issues are often common with exclusive events of crowd-favorite games such as Modern Warfare 2. Hopefully, the final launch will go smoothly.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 releases on October 28 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
