Monster Hunter Rise was launched in 2021 for Nintendo Switch. A Deluxe Edition was also released in physical and digital versions. It was available on Steam by early 2022, but that was about it. Several platforms were left wishing for Capcom to release the special edition soon.
Capcom announced the Deluxe Editions of Monster Hunter Rise will be launched for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, along with pre-order bonuses.
With this upcoming release, the Deluxe Edition will no longer be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. The PlayStation and Xbox versions will feature multiple cosmetics and additional digital content.
In the Monster Hunter Rise Deluxe Edition, there are three layered armor pieces, the Kamurai Hunter set, the Shuriken Collar Palamute piece, and the Fish Collar Palico piece; all these items can be added over players’ armor. A “Jump” emote set, a Samurai pose emote set, a Kabuki face paint look, and the Izuchi Tail hairstyle is also included.
Those who have pre-ordered Monster Hunter Rise will receive two additional cosmetics (the Palamute Retriever, and the Palico Forest Cat layered armor sets) and an extra piece of equipment (Novice Talisman). The equipment does aid players in improving gameplay but to some extent in the beginning of the game. Monster Hunter Rise releases on January 20th so only those who pre-order the game before that date will avail the bonus items.
Monster Hunter Rise is priced at $39.99 while the Deluxe Edition will cost $49.99. The prices are similar to that for the PC and Nintendo Switch versions of the game.
Capcom has been frequently updating fans with Monster Hunter Rise content, even though the final release is over a month away. The Deluxe Edition and pre-order bonus items just add the cherry on top, giving players more customization options.
Monster Hunter Rise releases on January 20, 2023, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
