MSI’s internal testing of the 8-core Zen4 CPU with 3D V-Cache has been leaked. A hardware leaker by the name “chi11eddog“, having access to many of MSI’s pre-launch materials has revealed what the company expects from AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU.
We already know that the third SKU with Zen4 architecture provided with 3D V-Cache technology is set to release very soon, more specifically, April 6th. Comprehensive test results from various reviewers should be out tomorrow, but AMD and other board partners are pretty busy preparing their tests, either for marketing or internal purposes.
MSI has determined that the optimization can provide an average of 2%-4%, though the document claims 9%-12%, but those are individual results. A 2% increase will be caused by the memory upgrade alone, with high-efficiency mode increased by 1% and 1% percent with Enhanced Mode Boost.
Average optimizations of AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D are:
- 100%: Stock
- 102%: DDR5-6000
- 103%: DDR5-6000 + High-Efficiency Mode
- 104%: DDR5-6000 + High-Efficiency Mode + Enhanced Mode Boost
The system that is used for testing has been configured with MSI X670E Tomahawk motherboard, Kingston Fury DDR5-6000 EXPO kit, RTX 4090 GPU and MSI AIO/PSU. This system was used to test the Ryzen CPU in seven games at 2560X1440 Max Quality Settings.
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D officially releases on April 6th at a price of $449. This’ll mark AMD’s third and last Ryzen CPU to launch for the foreseeable future.
