Naughty Dog is Investigating Mouse and Camera Jitter Issues in The Last of Us PC Version

The launch of The Last of Us Part 1 on PC hasn’t been the smoothest, to say the least. The game is plagued with bugs, glitches, crashes etc. to the extent that it has received mostly negative reviews on Steam, only a few hours after launch.

Naughty Dog is already said to be aware of the reported issues occurring in the game and has promised to look into them. As a result of that, they released a small patch of 36MB, aimed to fix several performance and hitch-related issues.

Naughty Dog has now acknowledged that they’re also looking into the reported mouse and camera jitter issues in The Last of Us Part 1 PC. The developers also promised that more fixes were on the way so it’s possible that one of those fixes will include a fix for the jitter issues as well.

Following the release of the 1.0.1.5 patch for The Last of Us Part 1 on PC, the team wrote, “Additional improvements and investigations based on user feedback are underway”.

The ‘Known Issues’ post on Naughty Dog’s official website only mentioned a potential memory leak, booting issues, instability issues, and long shader loading times. But the post has now been seemingly updated with mentions of the studio investigating “mouse and camera jitter for some players, depending on hardware and display settings.”

It is more than likely that a new patch is on its way which will fix the mouse and camera jitter issues. “We are working on patches, will provide updates as they become available, and will continue to investigate other reported issues”, Naughty Dog wrote.

The Last of Us Part 1 is now available worldwide on PC and PlayStation 5, with the Remastered version available only on PlayStation 4.
