Is A New Fast-Travel System on the Way for Call of Duty Warzone?

Every giant update for Call of Duty Warzone has been bringing a load of fresh features and content to the game. With the new iteration of Verdansk still being explored, it seems that some features have either not been discovered yet or could potentially be on the way.

Call of Duty: Warzone’s developers often send out surveys to try and understand how players are feeling about newly released content. While most surveys cover standard features, one of the game’s recent ones includes an interesting option that fans know is not a part of the game at the moment. As per this survey, Call of Duty: Warzone may be receiving a fast travel system via the “Red Doors” as also seen in the Verdansk cutscene.

The survey was first spotted by CallofDutyHope, which they then went on to detail on Twitter. The survey sought feedback on new features of Verdansk ‘84, particularly the features which CallofDutyHope enjoyed. On top of this list, marked as a new fast travel system, was something called “Red Doors”.

As of now, the only fast travel system that exists in the game is the Subway but no kind of red door has been spotted. Although, some players have theorized that the red doors in the game are the very same that featured in CoD’s Verdansk teaser as can be seen in the thread below.

A second fast travel system could make for a handy addition to CoD maps. But some fans are concerned that the game is losing its foundations in realism; something that has been considered a highlight of the uber popular series. While one fast travel system can work, if players use two options to just ferry around maps, hiding and avoiding getting killed, the fun is bound to drop a little.

It is important to note that none of this has been confirmed by the developers. If the doors already exist in the map, it’s only a matter of time till they are discovered which will prompt players to share their takes. If not, it’s possible that the feature will never see the light of day as it might not do very well in the surveys due to players preferring more realistic features and content.
