Nvidia DLSS Support for Red Dead Redemption 2 is Coming Next Week

Those waiting for an enhanced PC experience for Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online won’t have to wait much longer: Rockstar’s open-world wild-west epic is finally getting DLSS support from Nvidia.

The cutting-edge image reconstruction tech will come with the game’s Blood Money update that arrives on July 13. So, if your rig includes an RTX card, you will be able to indulge in classic cowboy antics at boosted frame rates.

Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) is a great and easy way to get games to run at high frame rates. The tech boosts graphical performance using dedicated Tensor Core AI processors on RTX GPUs and AI rendering to produce image quality that stands up to native resolution.

While the arrival of DLSS is good news, official ray tracing support is still missing from RDR2.

But seeing that it is already one of the most demanding games on the market from a hardware standpoint, no ray tracing could be a boon for those still rocking previous-gen RTX cards. And besides, we are still getting DLSS, so some graphical updations are guaranteed.

The Blood Money update will bring a new type of work called ‘Crimes’ to Red Dead Online. Players will get the choice to tackle multistage robberies and more, solo or with a group of fellow outlaws.

Free Roam mode will allow players to sniff out news on unlocked homesteads and vulnerable camps. So naturally, this means more loot for you and your posse.

The update will also introduce “four distinct rapid-fire passes” deemed the Quick Draw Club to Red Dead Online. Each pass purchased will earn players “additional perks and rewards for continuing the journey.”

Additionally, players who purchase all four passes will get free access to the upcoming Halloween Pass 2.
