Nier: Automata with All DLCs Has Been Announced for Nintendo Switch

During yesterday’s Direct Mini, Nintendo announced that PlatinumGames’ cult hack-and-slash sci-fi fantasy Nier: Automata will be coming to the Switch on October 6, 2022.

The launch of the Japanese RPG on the Switch is entitled NieR: Automata The End Of YoRHa Edition, and it will include the original games along with the previously released add-ons.

Therefore, DLCs like “3C3C1D119440927,” which includes three challenging colosseums, new boss battles, and additional costumes inspired by Nier Replicant; and “6C2P4A118680823”, which adds six costumes, four accessories, and two pod skins inspired by Nier: Re[in]carnation will accompany the game.

In terms of performance on the Switch, Nintendo just announced that NieR Automata: The End of YoRHA Edition will run at 1080p resolution in Docked Mode and at 720p resolution in Handheld Mode. The company further confirmed that the frame rate would be 30fps in both scenarios.

Considering that NieR Automata is a game that’s all about intense action, it’s highly disappointing to learn that the stated FPS cannot be crossed since the Japanese RPG could benefit significantly from higher framerates.

This classic game efficiently runs at 60fps on other consoles where it’s available, but given how Nintendo Switch is not as powerful as them, 30fps isn’t too bad either, if not perfect.

If you can overlook the fps barrier, NieR: Automata The End Of YoRHa Edition is available for pre-order and is getting a physical as well as a digital release.

While buying the game digitally is the fastest way to dive into its world, one benefit of getting the physical copy is that it comes with the reversible box art by Koda Kazuma, the concept artist behind Nier: Automata’s breathtaking landscapes.
