Nvidia releases pricing and specs for the upcoming RTX 4060 and 4060Ti

Nvidia is expanding its GPU lineup with two new variants launching for the RTX 4060 Ti SKU. The two variants will have 8 GB and 16 GB of VRAM each, set to launch in July.
This means that Nvidia’s RTX 4060 mid-range variant will get more memory than the RTX 4070 with 12GB of VRAM. The RTX 4060 Ti SKU is set to come with 22 TFLOPS of FP32 single precision performance.

The non-Ti variant, on the other hand, comes at around 15 TFLOPS. Nvidia has compared the data with the RTX 3060 Ti and the RTX 3060.

The RTX 3060 Ti, the previous generation based on the Ampere architecture, offers 16 TFLOPS of FP32 performance compared to the RTX 3060’s 13 TFLOPS.

The TGP for the 4060 Ti is 160W for both the 8GB and 16GB variants. The average power consumption during gaming is set to 140 W.

The RTX 4060 at launch had a TGP of 115W while typical gaming power drawn was around 110W. The RTX 4060 Ti has 18 Gbps of 128-bit memory with GDDR6 memory.

This is 1 Gbps more than the non-Ti variant. This means the non-Ti variant has a maximum bandwidth of 272 Gbps compared to 288 Gbps on the Ti variant.

Each RTX 4060 GPU has its performance slide, which shows massive upgrades in the frame generation process, i.e., Nvidia’s in-house DLSS 3 process.

The RTX 4060 Ti’s memory subsystem featured 32MB of L2 cache and 8GB or 16GB of GDDR6. The RTX 4060, on the other hand, has 24MB of L2 cache, which primarily reduces the demands on the GPU’s memory interface, improving performance and power efficiency.

However, it is advised that gamers should take a good look at the non-DLSS 3 performance on the RTX 4060 SKUs to see how the RTX 4060 fares in comparison to the previous generation.

It will come at around USD 299. This would make it the cheapest SKU built on the Ada Lovelace architecture.
The 4060 Ti is supposed to come in at USD 399 for the 8 GB variant, whereas the 16GB variant will come in at USD 499. The release date for the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti SKUs will be around July.
