Outriders Demo a Massive Hit; 2 Million Downloads Reached in One Week

With Outriders’ release postponed three times, fans had to wait a long time to play the game. The wait was real! Now that Outriders demo finally hit the markets, it seems like enthusiasts swarmed onto websites to download the RPG and bask in its glory for a limited time.

Launched on February 25, Outriders free demo turned out to be highly successful. The RPG has hit two million players download in just a single week since its launch across all platforms. Moreover, the developers expect more players to join in on the fun that Outriders offers when it launches on April 1.

Outriders demo incorporates the game’s prologue and the starting chapter, which constitutes 2-3 hours of the game.

Players can also get a taste of four available classes: The Technomancer, Pyromancer, Trickster, and Devastator. Each class brings exciting and impressive abilities to the table.

Trying out level 7 legendary gear is another factor that made fans turn their attention to Outriders.

Furthermore, don’t worry about starting the Outriders from scratch when it gets a full release. All the progress you’ve made in this demo can be carried to the complete game once it rolls out on April 1.

Marvel’s Avengers, with all its hype and power, made 6 million players download the superhero game. So, what Outriders have achieved while being a new franchise is quite a feat.

With such biblical amounts of players trying out the Outriders, a few bugs appeared too. Connectivity, matchmaking, and crossplay issues have all halted players from enjoying a smooth gameplay.

Developers People Can Fly have acknowledged such glitches and have promised to release a new patch next week. The patch will improve the game’s frame rate, bugs, crashes, audio desynchronization in cutscenes, etc.
