Overwatch 2’s New Bug Makes Bastion’s Ultimate a Nightmare for Other Players

Among Overwatch 2’s plethora of problems, another one gets added to it’s long list of issues. Although this new bug is rather hilarious, Blizzard should still address as it makes a character’s ultimate extremely overpowered.

The newest bug features Bastion’s ultimate being extremely overpowered. The bug allows Bastion to fire upwards of 20 shells with the Artillery Ultimate, by pressing the Q key and the left mouse button at the same time when firing the last shell in the PC version of Overwatch 2.

The timer for the Ultimate gets bugged and doesn’t stop and the player can fire as many additional shells as they want for several seconds. This is highly overpowered as players can get a ton of kills by doing this exploit.

In the above clip, the player shouts “he’s doing it again!” as he attempts to move away, which should give players a fair idea of how broken Bastion’s new ultimate is.

Players are frustrated, and rightfully so, since those who want to play the game fairly have the Overwatch experience ruined by bugs which shouldn’t have been in the game in the first place. The bug can be considered as cheating too as it makes the player way too overpowered.

Bastion Rework

It is known that Bastion has been reworked from the first game for the sequel. In the first game, Bastion’s ultimate ability was to be able to turn into a tank but the new ultimate let’s him rain bombs from above in three seperate areas. However, the new bug let’s Bastion unleah hell upon his opponents, with bombs raining until the ultimate’s timer runs out.

With the bug being as widespread as it is, it’s possible that Blizzard is already working on a patch or a fix, considering how overpowered the bug is and how big of a competitive advantage it gives to players exploiting the bug.
