The time-bound Halloween Terror Event is back in Overwatch and will begin from October 13 till November 3, carrying various new and old cosmetics, skins, and more!
Last year’s Halloween Terror was a delightful state of affair, bringing the theme of Halloween to Overwatch as is the tradition, while also bringing a new game mode and an assortment of goodies for all of us.
This year, Halloween Terror seems to be bigger and better than ever before.
While yes, Overwatch’s popularity may be facing a downward sloping trend at the moment, Blizzard seems to be continuously working to bring new and fresh content for the existing player base. This is something which all of us should be appreciative of.
Coming back to this year’s event, it seems that Brigitte, D.Va, Echo, Sigma, and Sombra will all be receiving a Halloween-themed skin, and in all likelihood, the weekly task and reward system will also make a return. Last year, rewards were set for each week for a fixed amount of wins in different game modes.
One of the major returns of this year’s event could also be the special game mode, Junkenstein’s Revenge, where players band together to fight Junkenstein and his allies.
It was kind of a mix between co-op survival and the elements of Overwatch, and let me tell you; it was indeed a spectacle to behold. Utterly glorious, I’d say!
Well, one can not deny that Overwatch is a fantastic game that features a surprising amount of depth through its 32-character roster, where each character has unique stats and abilities to themselves.
Not to mention, the game is damn addictive when you finally get the hang of it and is an incredibly enjoyable experience through and through!
But as stated earlier, the game has been facing a downward trend in popularity, that too with its sequel right around the corner. That said, it will be interesting to see how receptive the existing players are towards Blizzard’s continuous efforts in bringing new content.
