Petuaria Ruins Book and Key: Locations and Guide – AC Valhalla

After trying to ransack the entire Petuaria Ruins area found in Eurvicscire, I was trying to look for a way to progress in AC Valhalla. So, imagine my surprise when I found out that if you look hard enough, Petuaria Ruins has a book of knowledge and a key to progress Eivor’s story forward. That’s right! The Petuaria Ruins has a book and a key hidden amongst the rubbles and ruins of the vast wasteland.

Locating the artifacts is a lot harder than it looks. But thankfully, Eivor is quite the adventurer so you can guide him towards the book and key in no time.

1. How to Get the Petuaria Ruins Book?

Petuaria Ruins Location

The Petuaria Ruins Book is located inside a huge underground waterway. Just follow the instructions so that you don’t get lost:

  1. You need to break the planks obstructing the opening of the waterway to get inside.
  2. Once you go in, you need to pass through a small gap on the wall and dive into the water to go to the other side.
  3. Take an explosive pot/jar lying in the ground and place it in front of what looks like a blastable wall. Then, shoot it with arrows.
  4. Do the same for the other wall. (You might have to throw the pot towards the wall and shoot it while it falls since the path is covered in water.)
  5. The wall will break down revealing a shelf of some sorts. Move the shelf and there you will find the Petuaria Ruins Book.

This book being a part of the many books of knowledge found in AC Valhalla will make quite a difference in Eivor’s journey forward.

2. What is in the Petuaria Ruins Book?

Poisonous Powder Trap

The Petuaria Ruins Book is a book of knowledge that lets Eivor learn the art of making Poisonous Powder Trap. The Poisonous Powder Trap attaches a poison pouch to Eivor’s arrows that bursts open on impact, leaving behind a cloud of poison.

The Books of Knowledge are required to learn certain craftable items that can help Eivor win the fight against his enemies.

Now that you’ve found the book, let’s focus on the Petuaria Ruins Key.

But remember, the key is part of a Eurvicscire quest and you need Halfdan’s help to open the door of the room containing it. Make sure you have completed the Jorvik arc before you try to find the key.

3. How to Get the Petuaria Ruins Key?

The Petuaria Ruins Key is located in the same area as the book. You can try these steps to find the key easily:

Halfdan Helping to break the Red Door
  1. Locate the area containing the explosive pots and find a room with a locked red door.
  2. At this point, you have to make sure Halfdan is following you on this quest since you cannot open the door without him. (If Halfdan is not following you in the quest, simply go to your main story mission, complete the Jorvik arc and come back.)
  3. Once you locate the red door, Eivor and Halfdan will break open the door together and you’ll be able to loot the key.

Now that you have both the book and key in your possession, you can go and make some more progress in the world of Vikings with AC Valhalla.
