Battlefield 2042 Beta: Play Before the Worldwide Release

First-person shooters usually always have a special place in most gamers’ hearts. From the sheer rush of gunning down your enemies to trying out new and different weapons, these games are something every player looks forward to. One of the most anticipated first-person shooters coming this year is the Battlefield 2042 of the famous Battlefield franchise.

Like its predecessors, Battlefield 2042 will also be a map inclusive game. Still, this time, it will take its players to a post-apocalyptic future with a wide variety of futuristic guns. Additionally, Battlefield 2042 has already released its plans on making the game crossplayable, and a few leaks have teased various maps and modes available on multiplayer.

So, with all this information out to the public, it was bound to stir up a few questions regarding its beta release. I’m sure you’re also curious; here are all of them answered!

When Will Battlefield 2042 Beta Release?

EA has recently revealed that they will be releasing an Open Beta version of Battlefield 2042 in September before the initial release on 22nd October 2021.

Battlefield V had its beta release one month before the release of the game. So, judging by that, it is likely that the beta for Battlefield 2042 will also be a month before the game’s initial release.

This beta release will test out the waters for a big 128 person lobby involving various game maps. In addition, it will test run any bugs and server issues players might face in the initial run. So, make sure your system can run this game, and you’ll be set.

Apart from the popular modes like Conquest and Breakthrough, Battlefield 2042 will be returning with some new modes.

  • All-Out-Warzone – This game mode will feature 128 players fighting for victory on a well-spaced map. Whereas for Xbox One and PS4 users, the number of players will be capped to 340348, and the map will also be shortened.
  • Hazard Zone– This mode will have more intense situations thrown at players.
  • Portal Mode – This mode will have a mixture of Battlefield maps from the past and the present. Players will probably be able to reminisce the past games from the Battlefield franchise.

We already know that Battlefield 2042 is leaving out the single-player and the Battle Royale-style gameplay this year. Instead, it plans on a more elemental immersion where players will have to face natural adversities making them think taking a bullet probably would’ve been less painful.

But, we can only wait and see what this game brings to the table. So, good luck to you out there, soldiers!

About Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 is the seventeenth installment in the Battlefield series developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. The game is a first-person online multiplayer shooting title. This installment of Battlefield will not feature a single-player campaign mode.

The year is 2042 and the world is in ruins. Natural disasters run rampant, ocean levels have risen, the world economy has collapsed, and the US and Russia are at war. You step into the shoes of a non-patriated soldier – a soldier without a side. The games’ story will be revealed through episodic additions, allowing players to create a future for themselves and other non-pats in a world on the brink of destruction.
