In the middle of this wait, Dan Vondrak, Raven’s Creative Director has given us three spoilers that let our imaginations run wild. So if you want to play the game’s campaign mode with no frame of reference, then let it be known that I warned you because this article contains spoilers.

Amsterdam Flythrough

The first mission titled “Nowhere Left to Run” will take you back to the original Black Ops. You will find yourself in a meet-up at a bar in Amsterdam and yes minutes into the mission, you are engaged in a rooftop chase.

Vondrak said “Nowhere Left to Run” is a great example of how we wanted to pay homage to the original Black Ops in a few ways that fans will recognize.

If you remember the original Black Ops, it started this way too. You were in Cuba, sitting in a bar, and next, you know you are going for headshots killing everyone in sight.

“As the mission comes to an end, the story kicks off in dramatic fashion as a ghost from the past is revealed to still be alive and planning something that could shift the balance of power in the Cold War.”

Vietnam Flythrough

Going forward, now comes “Fracture Jaw”, the second mission of CoD: Black Ops Cold War. Here you will see Perseus, the Soviet Spy at the time of the Vietnam War.

The reason behind this throwback is to clarify events from the past. Such flashbacks add twists and turns to the story.

The last mission that we are told about is named “Desperate Measures”.

“After tracking down several leads in the hunt for Perseus, the team find themselves faced with the unthinkable: they must go behind the Iron Curtain—into the heart of the Soviet Union—and infiltrate the KGB headquarters.”
