The NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti, and the NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti, are probably two of the worst-kept secrets in the gaming hardware world. The two have been doing the circles of the rumor mill for months now, and we have even been able to get the exact announcement and launch windows for both cards. Now, we have even more evidence that we could be getting the new, powerful graphics cards from NVIDIA, and this comes thanks to a slip-up by Razer.
Razer’s Chinese arm has, much before even the announcement of the cards, made the RTX 3080 Ti and the RTX 3070 Ti available in its preconfigured desktop systems. First discovered by harukaze5719 on Twitter, the systems are currently available for purchase on Razer’s official store on the Tmall e-commerce platform.
Multiple configuration options are available, along with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X system with 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM, ROG Strix B550-A motherboard, an 850W 80PLUS PSU, and NVIDIA’s new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card (12GB of GDDR6X memory).
For those who are looking for a more economical option, there is a Ryzen 5 5600X config with a B550 M-ATX motherboard, 16GB of DDR4-3000 RAM, a 750W 80PLUS PSU, and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (8GB of GDDR6X).
The price tags of the various available configs are,
|CPU||Motherboard||NVIDIA GPU||CNY pricing||Approx. US$ pricing|
|AMD Ryzen 5 5600X||B550||GeForce RTX 3070 Ti||CNY 13,499||US$2,098|
|AMD Ryzen 7 5800X||B550M||GeForce RTX 3070 Ti||CNY 14,999||US$2,331|
|AMD Ryzen 9 5900X||B550-A||GeForce RTX 3080 Ti||CNY 22,999||US$3,575|
|AMD Ryzen 9 5900X||X570-P||GeForce RTX 3080 Ti||CNY 24,999||US$3,885|
|AMD Ryzen 9 5900X||X570-P||GeForce RTX 3090||CNY 39,999||US$6,217|
The memory specs for both the RTX 3080 Ti and the RTX 3070 Ti match up with the previous leaks about the cards. Obviously, the 3080 will be the more powerful of the two, with a total of 10,240 CUDA cores. The 3070 will feature 6,114 CUDA cores. Both cards are predicted to outperform the RTX 3080 and RTX 3070, and the RTX 3080 Ti should reach close to the performance of the RTX 3090, just at a lower price tag.
But, outside of these prebuilt OEMs, it will be next to impossible to get your hands on an RTX 3070 Ti or 3080 Ti at the MSRP that NVIDIA plans to launch them. Thanks to scalpers and cryptominers buying stocks in bulk, we now can see RTX 30 series cards going for two to three times their base MSRP prices depending on the model. These two new cards will be no different.
The rumor goes that we can expect the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti announcement on May 31st during the NVIDIA Computex 2021 keynote address. They are reported to go on sale on June 3rd and June 10th, respectively.
