Fans are ecstatic to know that the fan-favorite mode from the original 2005 game is officially making its way to the Remake on April 7th for free.

In the original game, the Mercenaries mode tasked players with killing opponents for points against a time limit. The mode revisited various locations from the main campaign, and it ultimately turned out to be a huge hit.

With the announcement of this free DLC, fans are now hoping that another fan-favorite Resident Evil 4 DLC, called Separate Ways, featuring Ada Wong, will also be added to the Remake in the near future.

Separate Ways was a huge addition to the original game as it not only featured Ada’s perspective on the events of the main campaign, but it also added hours of content to the game.

It’s hard to think that Capcom would pass up the opportunity to add Separate Ways in the near future, but they’re yet to confirm whether it’ll be making its way to the Remake.

The modding community, on the other hand, has started modding the game and an upscaling mod is already available which makes the game look even better. So, until the DLC comes out, the main game will surely keep players busy.

Resident Evil 4 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
