Resident Evil Re:Verse Open Beta is now Available!

Resident Evil: Village is due to drop next month, but if you’re not able to keep yourself from reaching for a shotgun to blow out some undead brains, then you can access the open beta for Resident Evil Re:VerseVillage’s multiplayer component.

The beta has just been made available for anyone who has a Capcom ID, on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation. If you’re interested in joining the beta, then you’ll need to follow some instructions to access it.

First, you need to keep your Capcom ID handy, and ensure that you’ve linked it to your profile on whatever platforms you’ll be using. If you don’t have a Capcom ID yet, you can make one here, all you need to do is follow the on-screen prompts. PC players can access the beta through Steam.

Once you’ve linked your accounts, you’ll need to navigate to the Resident Evil Re:Verse Beta page on the relevant store for your platform (Steam, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store). Once you’re there, just add the demo to your library. The beta is available only from April 7th – April 10th, so it makes sense to download it as soon as you can to keep it play-ready.

3 days isn’t exactly a lot of time to test it out thoroughly, but we’re hoping it gives us a glimpse as to what we can expect when Resident Evil: Village finally releases. For the timings on the opening and closing of the beta, they are as follows:

  • Starts at 11 PM PDT on April 7, 2021 (or 2 AM ET and 7 AM BST on April 8).
  • Ends on April 10 (or April 11, depending where you are) at the same hours it started, mentioned above.

We’re hoping this will tide us over until next month, when Resident Evil: Village and the multiplayer component Resident Evil Re:Verse are both fully released on May 7th, 2021. Re:Verse is a spin-off series from the main narrative of the games which allows you and your friends to play against each other as the series main characters and monsters. This mode will be free of cost to those who own Resident Evil: Village and will be accessible on launch.
