A New High-octane Teaser for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is Here

KT Racing and Nacon bring a taste of the high life and high-speed racing with the new teaser for their upcoming title Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.

The teaser shows a pair of drivers facing off, from behind the steering wheel and at the poker table, with the former showdown involving a Land Rover and an Aston Martin in an underground set-up.

The teaser ends with a promise that the “next chapter” will arrive in July 2021. Fans are bound to be disappointed with the lack of a release date but at least now they know when the next update will arrive.

The “Solar Crown” part of the title refers to a competition series introduced in Test Drive Unlimited 2.

Basically acting as the game’s career mode, the Solar Crown was an in-game racing series for the ultra-rich which saw players buy cars, houses, and expensive clothing as a means to move up in the world, while advancing through the multiple tiers of the championship by winning events.

According to the game’s Steam page, TDU Solar Crown keeps the DNA from the first games and revamps it for the modern era.

Along with its usual open-world racing and roaming, the game will also include the previously mentioned classic open championship concept, customisation for cars and avatars, and some of most sought after car brands in the world. Currently, the brands confirmed to appear are Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Koenigsegg, Apollo, Dodge and Bugatti.

The game’s setting is not confirmed yet but it has been teased that “a brand new, vast, and vibrant real-world location that’s been built at 1:1 scale” will be involved.
